LOPEZ YOUTH TOURING COMPANY (LYTC)

LYTC is a branch of LYPAC providing on-going performing opportunities for young people ages 6-17 in the greater Northern Virginia area.  LYTC is composed of two performing groups that represent 2 distinct areas: Theater and Vocal Ensemble.

The Mission Players (Youth Theater Group)

  • Who Are “The Mission Players”-The Mission Players are actors ages 6-17 residing in Northern Virginia performing Broadway style full musicals and straight plays. 
  • Auditions- Auditions will be held every October for selection of players for the upcoming season.  Auditions are open to the community and residents of Northern Virginia.
  • Performing Season- The performing season for a select show is Nov.–Oct.
    • November –December      Meetings & Retreats
    • January – April                 Official Rehearsals
    • April – October                 Tour Season
  • Local Performances- The Players will perform 2-3 shows at a local theater in early May.
  • Tour Season- The “Tour Season” consists of cycles of dates where the players are booked for touring the show at schools, community centers, and other local events.
    • Spring Touring Season: April 15 – May 31
    • Summer Touring Season: July – August (only for special trips)
    • Fall Touring Season: September 1- December 15
  • Support- Each “Mission Player” will be required to raise funds to support their touring show through sponsorships, donations, and grants. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
