TRACI J. BROOKS - LYPAC Music Director
Traci J. Brooks is excited to join Lopez Studios as the Musical Director for LYPAC! As alumna of Lopez Studios, she has a dynamic history with the company. Traci studied with Victor Lopez for voice and piano and Carmen Zabala for acting and performed in Lopez Studio’s The Wizard of Wonderland and The Truth About Cinderella. She worked at the music and drama summer camps for several years and accompanied vocalists for the Music Festival.
Traci received her Associates in Liberal Arts from NVCC in 2006 and currently attends American University in Washington, D.C., working towards her B.A. in Print Journalism with a minor in Theatre Performance. Accepted into the Honors Program at AU, she maintains her status on the Dean’s List while working as the Assistant Features Editor of the school paper and writing for the music and theatre columns.
Over the past ten years, Traci has been involved in theatre in a myriad of roles. Performance credits include The Crucible, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bat Boy: The Musical, Footloose, and most recently a professional company’s three-month run of South Pacific. Technical credits include photographer for The Secret Garden and Red, Hot, and Cole, Assistant Director for The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast, Assistant Stage Manager for Jocasta, and Director for her own contemporary retelling of Romeo and Juliet.
